Christianity is portrayed to our sons and daughters as a collection of myths and superstitions promoted by ignorant parents and their ignorant pastors. But why are they so effective in persuading young people to abandon their faith? Christians know what they believe but they usually have no idea why they believe it. When young people are challenged in Biology 101 or in their Introduction to Philosophy classes they don’t know how to respond and their faith is rattled. We need to do more as the body of Christ to prepare the next generation to be the Paul’s and Timothy’s of the 21st Century that finish the battle and keep the faith!
